HPEC is excited to announce that we are starting up weekly Nature Meditations the last weekend of May and throughout the month of June!
Meditation is a wonderful & ancient practice that can help lower blood pressure and relax the nervous system. It can also be used to find silence & spiritual connection in a time that often feels chaotic & detached, especially from the natural world. Come back to your center through the sounds & smells of nature, feelings of full breath, and but a taste of the still & silent.
Nature Meditations will be led by our Community Outreach Program Manager, Lauren Sadowsky, on Saturday mornings. Lauren received a 200 hr. Yoga & Meditation Teacher Certification in Raja Yoga and Vinyasa Flow from Sembrando Semillas con Yoga (Sowing Seeds with Yoga) near the Sacred Valley of Cusco, Peru in 2013.
Meditations will be held outside in our natural areas. Please bring a towel or mat, as well as a meditation pillow or any other items that will make your experience more comfortable.
We will walk up the trail to our site as part of a walking meditation (10-15 minutes each way).
The seated meditation & breath work will last between 45 minutes and 1 hour.
