Free Parks Admission – Colorado Day

August 3

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) joins the celebration of Colorado’s acceptance into statehood with free access to all Colorado State Parks, Aug. 3.

Park entrance fees are waived, but activities like fishing and camping will still require a valid license and permit. Colorado was first recognized as a state Aug. 1, 1876. The first Colorado State Park emerged some eighty short years later.

Celebrate the statehood of Colorado with CPW’s natural resources at one of 42 quality state parks or 300 state wildlife areas. Go to http://cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/Pages/parkMap.aspx to locate a state park near you.
