Tax time creates a new season of giving to support our work! A new program, Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit, allows you to use your state income tax return to make a big difference in your community.
If you’re due a state income tax refund, this state program gives you the opportunity to use some or all of it to directly support a local nonprofit that matters to you, like Partners Mentoring Youth. You’ve been able to give to certain nonprofits through your tax return in the past, but this is the first year you get to select any eligible nonprofit, including us!
All you have to do is:
- Decide how much of your state income tax refund to donate (all or a portion of it).
- Enter Partners Mentoring Youth and our registration number 20023005421 in the “Donate to
a Colorado Nonprofit Fund” line on your state tax return or tax software – or give just give this info to your tax preparer when you share your tax documents.
You can learn more details about the program at RefundWhatMatters.org.
Last year, Colorado returned more than $1 billion in refunds to 1.9 million state taxpayers. Imagine how much this could support local community causes like us across Colorado! Because our important work is never done, we’re always in need of new funds to revitalize our organization and recharge our work. ReFUND CO shows you how you can support our mission at a critical time of the year.
As always, feel free to contact us if you have any questions!
